Every three years, the youth of Amazing Grace and Crossroads come together with over 30,000 other Lutheran youth to attend the ELCA Youth Gathering. The purpose of the gathering is for youth to engage in worship, fellowship, faith formation and service work - all to grow in their faith and to truly make a difference in the world. This mission trip is a great opportunity for our youth to grow in their relationship with God, with each other and with the world.
Our church sees it as an important part of our mission that all youth who wish to attend this triennial mission trip are able to do so without financial burden. We are called to provide opportunities outside of our regular context for youth to grow in their faith and learn to see themselves as an important part of God's church. While at the youth gathering, the youth spend a day out in the host city serving the needy through mission service projects. This mission trip is a transformational experience for youth in their faith journey.
The next ELCA Youth Gathering is June 29-July 3, 2021 in Minneapolis, MN. The theme of this gathering is Boundless: God Beyond Measure which will focus on the boundless relationship God desires with us - God giving freely of God’s love, grace and mercy to God’s people.
We have 19 youth at Amazing Grace and Crossroads who are eligible to go and they would be ever grateful to have your boundless financial support to help cover the costs of their mission trip!
